Gift From the Sea

Gift From the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, originally published in 1955, is a good book to have on the shelf at a beach house. It’s there to dip into when you want to think. This little book was given to me by my mom when I was a teenager. It contains essays about life as a woman, through work and marriage and hardship. It’s not a snorkeling book, per se. But it’s just one of those beach related volumes you might want to have in case you’re feeling reflective after a good snorkel and a walk on the beach. It will probably inspire you to write, as well.
